Bones - Joints - Ligaments

Our body is an extremely fascinating interplay of over 200 bones, muscles and joints. As we get older, many of our body's characteristics and functions change. The musculoskeletal system in particular is often the focus of the ageing process. There is great potential here to maintain or improve quality of life by providing sufficient nutrients in good time. First of all, when you are young, you should strive to build up a robust and strong bone structure. Bone mass can be strengthened up to the age of 35, after which it loses its strength.

Apart from regular and sufficient exercise, nutrition plays a central role. And because many nutrients are not sufficiently available in our daily diet, we can get help in the form of supplements with calcium, collagen etc. to ensure we are well supplied. But it is also important to drink plenty of fluids, eat a more Mediterranean diet with high-quality protein (lean meat/poultry/legumes) and ensure variety in your diet. After all, our bones, joints and ligaments are our “movement capital”, enabling us to move freely and enjoy life for as long as possible.
